Hurricane Harvey Support
September 1, 2017 8:51 pmAWI would like to reach out to all the manufacturer and supplier shops impacted by the storms in South Texas, and along the Louisiana coastal areas. Many of our members across the nation are familiar with the challenges a company faces when suffering damage from natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey. We know your contracts often don’t stop, although you have suffered significant damage to your equipment, materials and/or facility structure. We encourage you to reach out to your AWI Family to help with the production, drafting, install, raw materials, and parts for equipment needed to float your business while rebuilding.
If you are a manufacturer or supplier needing help, please reach out to your friends in the industry, reference the AWI National website at awinet.org or the Texas Chapter (TAWI) website at texasawi.org for members’ rosters if you are not sure who to call for help with your needs. An active discussion has also been started on our AWI Communities forum at mycommunity.awinet.org, where members from around the country are offering help to those who need it.
“It may be a fire, a tornado, an illness or accident, and yes even a hurricane or flood; but when it comes to the success of our business and providing employment for those who have chosen to work for us it is often difficult to ask for help. I have been in that position and have lived the reality of not asking for help. I believe offering help often times helps others accept the need.” -Greg Lutz, President of AWI Texas Chapter
Respectfully,
